Dr David Foster

Dr. David Foster is an experienced biotechnology entrepreneur and public company executive with more than 20 years of experience founding, building and leading life sciences organizations.

Throughout his career, he has helped launch multiple biotechnology companies, advancing innovative technologies from early-stage concepts through clinical development and corporate growth.

As Co-founder, CEO and Managing Director of Island Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Foster leads the Company’s corporate strategy, business development and advancement of its clinical-stage antiviral programs.

His experience spans company formation, capital raising, strategic partnerships, product development and commercialization planning, with a focus on translating scientific innovation into therapies that address significant unmet medical needs.

Dr. Foster is also a co-founder of BioNTX, a leading life sciences industry association supporting the growth of the biotechnology ecosystem in North Texas, and has served on the boards of numerous biotechnology companies and industry organizations. He holds a Ph.D. in Cell Regulation from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and a J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law.
